Here are my NFL Week 10 Picks
(7-6 last week, 89-44 for the season)
Bye teams: Cle, KC, NE, NYJ
Was @ Min - The Skins have been playing a little better as of late & RG3 is seeming a little more RG3-like. The Vikings on the other hand are only getting worse. They did almost beat Dallas last week, but I don't have much hope in them winning here, even at home.
Sea @ Atl - This is actually a hard game to pick. On paper the Seahawks seem like the far superior team, but they've not been playing great while the Falcons have nowhere to go but up. What decides it for me are the INTs that Matt Ryan is throwing & the excellence of the Seattle secondary.
Cin @ Bal - Both teams are extremely unpredictable. The Bengals at least look great at times, while the Ravens only look mediocre when they're not looking bad. But I think they win this one; the play great at home while Cinci struggles on the road, like last week in Miami in a tough loss.
Det @ Chi - What happened to the great Chicago defense? The Bears have actually been scoring & allowing a ton of points, which is odd, but shouldn't be able to score a lot this week if McCown starts instead of the injured Cutler. The Lions are in 1st place and should remain so.
Phi @ GB - There's trouble in Wisconsin and it's of the worst kind. Rodgers is out at least a couple weeks, opening the door for a hot Eagles team. Nick Foles threw 7 TDs last week, which sounds strange, and they have a legitimate shot to win the division. Poor Packers, hang in there.
STL @ Ind - This ought to be a lopsided game. Luck & Indy are playing well, although they narrowly escaped the Texans last week. The Rams conversely are not. They're reeling a little right now & have to go on the road, a combination that usually equals a loss.
Oak @ NYG - How are the Giants in the division race? At 0-6 they were written off, but since winning 2 straight they're right back in the mix. The Raiders aren't pushovers, but they play badly away from Oakland and New York seems to have all the momentum right now, which is big.
Buf @ Pit - It was nice to see that Big Ben could actually put up some points last week. The Steelers lost anyway, but at least they looked somewhat alive. Buffalo is a much easier team to beat than New England, and I think the Bills lose this one on the road vs a more talented team.
Jax @ Ten - It's almost uncomfortable how bad the Jaguars are. They score the least points, they allow the most, and they look like an amateur team playing against professionals. The Titans aren't amazing, but Locker is playing alright and they should win easily in this one.
Car @ SF - Here are two teams that are both playing great football. The Panthers have won 4 straight & have allowed the least points in the league. The Niners have won 5 straight and have a dynamic offense. This should be a great game, but the edge should go to the home team.
Hou @ Ari - The Texans did almost win last week vs the Colts and Keenum seems like he has some talent, but they're on a 6 game losing streak. The Cards are actually doing OK, especially at home where they are 3-1. I think Carson & Larry have a good day & Arizona wins.
Den @ SD - The Broncos are the best team in the league, but this will be a tough game for them. Peyton should be able to put up points, but the defense needs to step up & stop Rivers if Denver is to have a chance for a road win. Should be a shootout & an entertaining game.
Dal @ NO - Even though the Cowboys have had some success, this seems like a no-brainer to me. The Saints just don't lose in New Orleans and the Boys just don't win away. Plus they don't beat good teams and the Saints are excellent. Could be high-scoring but not really competitive.
Mia @ TB - Maybe this will be the week that the Bucs get their first win. They almost got it last week in a surprising game vs the Seahawks and the Dolphins aren't scary. Miami did beat Cinci last Thursday, but that was kind of a fluke & I don't think they have what it takes to win often.
