Sports - 2013 NFL Predictions

The 2013 NFL season is almost upon us, with Free Agency and the Draft complete, Training Camps beginning, and the Regular Season right around the corner.  It's time for Olie's Too Early To Tell Season Predictions!  Also, here is a list of the key arrivals, losses, and rookies for each team.  Here's to another great year!

AFC East 
  1. Patriots - Tom Brady's weapons might be changing, but he's still Tom Brady.  Additions: QB Tim Tebow, WR Danny Amendola, WR Michael Jenkins, WR Donald Jones, DT Tommy Kelly, S Adrian Wilson, RB Leon Washington.  Losses: WR Wes Welker, WR Brandon Lloyd, WR Deion Branch, TE Aaron Hernandez, S Patrick Chung, RB Danny Woodhead.  Rookies: LB Jamie Collins, WR Aaron Dobson.
  2. Dolphins - Their first year as a unit went OK, their second year might be pretty much the same.  Additions: WR Mike Wallace, TE Dustin Keller, LB Dannell Ellerbe, OT Tyson Clabo, CB Brent Grimes.  Losses: RB Reggie Bush, CB Sean Smith, TE Anthony Fasano, LB Karlos Dansby, OT Jake Long, LB Kevin Burnett.  Rookies: DE Dion Jordan, CB Jamar Taylor.
  3. Jets - I don't think these guys know what they're doing, not at all.  Additions: OG Willie Colon, S Dawan Landry, OG Stephen Peterman, RB, Chris Ivory, TE Kellen Winslow.  Losses: QB Tim Tebow, TE Dustin Keller, S LaRon Landry, RB Shonn Greene, OG Matt Slauson, OG Brandon Moore, S Eric Smith, LB Bart Scott, CB Darrelle Revis, DT Mike Devito.  Rookies: CB Dee Milliner, DT Sheldon Richardson, QB Geno Smith.
  4. Bills - New everything, and it'll probably take a little time.  Additions: HC Doug Marrone, QB Kevin Kolb, LB Manny Lawson, DT Alan Branch.  Losses: HC Chan Gailey, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, LB Shawn Merriman, LB Nick Barnett, OG Adam Levitre, OG Chad Rinehart, CB Terrance McGee, S George Wilson.  Rookies: QB E.J. Manuel, WR Robert Woods, LB Kiko Alonso.
AFC North
  1. Bengals - The door is open for Cinci, and Dalton could make strides this year.  Additions: LB James Harrison, TE Alex Smith, LB Aaron Maybin.  Losses: LB Manny Lawson, FB Brian Leonard, CB Nate Clements, S Chris Crocker.  Rookies: TE Tyler Eifert, RB Giovani Bernard, DE Margus Hunt.
  2. Ravens - Their old defense is gone, but some say their new one is better.  We'll see.  Additions: DE Elvis Dumervil, S Michael Huff, DE Marcus Spears, DE Chris Canty.  Losses: LB Ray Lewis (Ret), C Matt Birk (Ret), TE Dennis Pitta (IR), DE Paul Kruger, S Ed Reed, CB Bernard Pollard, CB Cary Williams, OG Bobby Williams, WR Anquan Boldin, DT Ma'ake Kemoeatu.  Rookies: S Matt Elam, LB Arthur Brown.
  3. Steelers - Feels like they're stuck in a funk.  A good team, but not scary.  Additions: CB Williams Gay, P Brian Moorman, QB Bruce Gradkowski.  Losses: WR Mike Wallace, RB Rashard Mendenhall, LB James Harrison, CB Keenan Lewis, S Will Allen, QB Byron Leftwich, DT Casey Hampton, OT Max Starks, OG Willie Colon.  Rookies: LB Jarvis Jones, RB Le'Veon Bell, WR Markus Wheaton.
  4. Browns - Oh Brownies, how pathetic you are.  It's almost sad.  Almost.  Additions: DE Paul Kruger, K Shayne Graham, LB Quentin Groves, TE Kellen Davis, QB Jason Campbell.  Losses: DE Frostee Rucker, K Phil Dawson, LB Scott Fujita (Ret), QB Colt McCoy, WR Josh Cribbs, TE Ben Watson, TE Alex Smith.  Rookies: DE Mingo, CB Leon McFadden.
AFC South
  1. Texans - A tough team already, and then you add in Ed Reed.  Additions: S Ed Reed, LB Joe Mays, FB Greg Jones, P Shane Lechler.  Losses: S Glover Quin, LB Bradie James, LB Barrett Ruud, CB Alan Ball, Dt Shaun Cody, WR Kevin Walter, K Shayne Graham, P Donnie Jones, LB Conor Barwin, TE James Casey.  Rookies: WR Hopkins, S D.J. Swearinger.
  2. Colts - Luck could face a sophomore slump, especially with a new OC.  Additions: S Laron Landry, RB Ahmad Bradshaw, DT Aubrayo Franklin, OT Gosder Cherilius, WR Heyward-Bey, QB Matt Hasselbeck.  Losses: DE Dwight Freeney, WR Donnie Avery, CB Jerraud Powers, S Tom Zbikowski.  Rookies: DE Bjoern Werner, OG Hugh Thornton.
  3. Titans - Jake Locker better show what he can do soon before his time runs out.  Additions: S George Wilson, RB Shonn Greene, OG Andy Levitre, S Bernard Pollard, WB Ryan Fitzpatrick, WR Kevin Walter, TE Delanie Walker.  Losses: QB Matt Hasselbeck, TE Jared Cook, LB Will Witherspoon, S Jordan Babineaux, OG Deuce Lutui, OG Steve Hutchinson (Ret).  Rookies: OG Chance Warmack, WR Justin Hunter.
  4. Jaguars - An entirely new staff and bad QBs.  Not a good combination.  Additions: CB Marcus Trufant, WR Massaquoi, CB Alan Ball, RB Justin Forsett, LB Geno Hayes.  Losses: S Dawan Landry, LB Daryl Smith, FB Greg Jones, CB Derek Cox, CB Aaron Ross, LB Rashean Mathis, WR Laurent Robinson.  Rookies: OT Luke Joeckel, S John Cyprien, CB Dwayne Gratz, WR Ace Sanders, QB Denard Robinson.
AFC West
  1. Broncos - Denver will ride Peyton Manning all the way to the Super Bowl.  Additions: WR Wes Welker, LB Shaun Phillips, OG Louis Vasquez.  Losses: DE Elvis Dumervil, LB D.J. Williams, CB Tracy Porter, LB Keith Brooking, RB Willis McGahee.   Rookies: DT Sylvester Williams, RB Montee Ball.
  2. Chiefs - A new regime has taken over and I see them improving quickly.  Additions: HC Andy Reid, QB Alex Smith, CB Dunta Robinson, CB Sean Smith.  Losses: HC Romeo Crennel, QB Matt Cassel, RB Peyton Hillis, DT Glenn Dorsey, S Abram Elam.  Rookies: OT Eric Fisher, TE Travis Kelce.
  3. Chargers - I'm so tired of Phillip Rivers.  He's not a winner, and so SD won't be either.  Additions: HC Mike McCoy, OC Ken Whisenhunt, DE Dwight Freeney, RB Danny Woodhead, OT Max Starks.  Losses: HC Norv Turner, K Nate Kaeding, LB Takeo Spikes, TE Randy McMichael, LB Shaun Phillips, OG Louis Vasquez.  Rookies: OT D.J. Fluker, LB Manti Te'o, WR Keenan Allen.
  4. Raiders - A complete roster overhaul won't make them contenders.  Additions: QB Matt Flynn, S Charles Woodson, CB Mike Jenkins, CB Tracy Porter, WR Joshua Cribbs, DT Pat Sims, LB Nick Roach.  Losses: QB Carson Palmer, DT Tommy Kelly, S Michael Huff, P Shane Lechler, WR Heyward-Bay, LB Rolando McClain, DE Richard Seymour.  Rookies: CB D.J. Hayden, OT Menelik Watson.
NFC East
  1. Cowboys - The pressure is on and I think Romo and the 'Boys respond.  Additions: DC Monte Kiffin, S Will Allen, TE Dante Rosario, LB Justin Durant, DE Anthony Hargrove.  Losses: DC Rob Ryan, DE Marcus Spears, CB Mike Jenkins, LB Dan Connor, RB Felix Jones, S Gerald Sensabaugh, OG Derrick Dockery.  Rookies: C Travis Frederick, TE Gavin Escobar,  WR Terrance Williams.
  2. Giants - The G-men are always contenders, and this division is always tight.  Additions: LB Dan Connor, DT Cullen Jenkins, CB Aaron Ross, DT Mike Patterson, LB Aaron Curry.  Losses: DE Chris Canty, RB Ahmad Bradshaw, S Kenny Phillips, TE Martellus Bennett, DE Osi Umenyiora, LB Chase Blackurn, K Lawrence Tynes, LB Michael Boley.  Rookies: OT Justin Pugh, DT Jonathan Hankins, DE Demontre Moore.
  3. Redskins - I doubted RG3 last year and was mostly wrong, but I'm not sure he makes it through the season healthy.  Additions: DE Darryl Tapp, OT Jeremy Trueblood, WR Devery Henderson, WR Donte Stallworth, QB Pat White.  Losses: TE Chris Cooley, S Madieu Williams, S Cedric Griffin, LB Lorenzo Alexander, LB Nick Barnett.  Rookies: CB David Amerson, TE Jordan Reed.
  4. Eagles - An all new staff must fix all the problems.  Should take more than one offseason.  Additions: HC Chip Kelly, S Patrick Chung, CB Cary Williams, LB Connor Barwin, RB Felix Jones, DT Isaac Sopoaga.  Losses: HC Andy Reid, CB Rogers-Cromartie, OT King Dunlap, DT Cullen Jenkins, DT Mike Patterson, CB Nnamdi Asomugha, WR Jeremy Maclin (IR).  Rookies: OT Lane Johnson, TE Zach Ertz, QB Matt Barkley.
NFC North
  1. Packers - As long as Rodgers is the QB, the Pack will be a Super Bowl contender.  Additions: Didn't add a single significant FA, but hey they never do.  Losses: S Charles Woodson, WR Greg Jennings, WR Donald Driver (Ret), C Jeff Saturday (Ret), RB Cedric Benson, LB Eric Walden.  Rookies: DE Datone Jones, RB Eddie Lacy.
  2. Bears - Brand new staff should give Cutler a chance to be a true gunslinger.  Additions: LB D.J. Williams, LB James Anderson, DE Jamaal Anderson, OG Matt Slauson, OT Jermon Bushrod, TE Martellus Bennett.  Losses: LB Brian Urlacher, LB Nick Roach, LB Geno Hayes, DT Amobi Okoye, DE Israel Idonije, QB Jason Campbell, TE Kellen Davis.  Rookies: OG Kyle Long, LB Jon Bostic.
  3. Lions - Detroit can't be as bad as they were last year again, can they?  Additions: RB Reggie Bush, S Glover Quin, DE Jason Jones, DE Israel Idonije, K David Akers, OG Jake Scott.  Losses: K Jason Hanson, OT Jeff Backus, DE Kyle Vanden Bosch, DT Corey Williams, P Nick Harris, RB Kevin Smith, DE Cliff Avril, CB Drayton Florence, LB Justin Durant, OG Stephen Peterman.  Rookies: DE Ziggy Ansah, CB Darius Slay, OG Larry Warford.
  4. Vikings - AP is a beast, but I have exactly zero faith in Christian Ponder.  Additions: WR Greg Jennings, QB Matt Cassel, LB Desmond Bishop, CB Jacob Lacey.  Losses: CB Antoine Winfield, WR Percy Harvin, WR Michael Jenkins, P Chris Kluwe.   Rookies: DT Sharrif Floyd, CB Xavier Rhodes, WR Cordarelle Patterson.
NFC South
  1. Saints - Coach Payton is back from his suspension and NO is back as the frontrunner.  Additions: DC Rob Ryan, OT Jason Smith, TE Ben Watson, CB Keenan Lewis, S Jim Leonard, CB Chris Carr, DE Kenyon Coleman.  Losses: RB Chris Ivory, WR Devery Henderson, OT Jermon Bushrod, LB Jonathan Casillas, LB Scott Shanle, TE David Thomas, DT Sedric Ellis (Ret).  Rookies: S Kenny Vaccaro.
  2. Falcons - Hotlanta should be just as fiery on offense and make the playoffs.  Additions: DE Osi Umenyiora, RB Stephen Jackson.  Losses: DE John Abraham, RB Michael Turner, LB Mike Peterson, C Todd McClure (Ret), CB Dunta Robinson, OT Tyson Clabo.  Rookies: CB Desmond Trufant, CB Robert Alford.
  3. Buccaneers - I like their chances this year, but it's a tough division if NO is back to form.  Additions: CB Darrelle Revis, S Dashon Goldson, LB Jonathan Casillas, K Lawrence Tynes, RB Peyton Hillis, FB Brian Leonard.  Losses: RB LaGarrette Blount, OT Jeremy Trueblood, DE Michael Bennett, LB Quincy Black, TE Dallas Clark, K Connor Barth (IR), S Rode Barber (Ret).  Rookies: CB Johnthan Banks, QB Mike Glennon.
  4. Panthers - I'm just not a big Cam fan.  He's got a new OC, could take a step back.  Additions: WR Ted Ginn Jr., WR Domenik Hixon, CB Drayton Florence, LB Chase Blackburn.  Losses: WR Louis Murphy, LB James Anderson, DT Ron Edwards, C Geoff Handgartner, CB Cbhris Gamble (Ret).  Rookies: DT Star Lotulei, DT Kawaan Short.
NFC West
  1. Seahawks - I don't see Russell Wilson taking a big step back, so watch out.  Additions: DE Cliff Avril, DE Michael Bennett, CB Antoine Winfield, WR Percy Harvin, WR Early Doucet, QB Brady Quinn.  Losses: LB Leroy Hill, CB Marcus Trufant, DE Jason Jones, QB Matt Flynn, RB Leon Washington, DT Alan Branch.  Rookies: RB Michael, DT Jordan Hill.
  2. 49ers - I think Kaepernick does regress and the Niners suffer from the hangover.  Additions: WR Anquan Boldin, K Phil Dawson, QB Colt McCoy, DT Glenn Dorsey, CB Asomugha, OG Adam Snyder.  Losses: TE Delanie Walker, QB Alex Smith, DT Sopoaga, K David Akers, WR Ted Ginn Jr., S Dashon Goldson, OT Leonard Davis, LB Clark Haggans, WR Randy Moss.  Rookies: S Eric Reid, DE Carradine, TE McDonald, RB Lattimore.
  3.
